We’re so proud to share that Elizabeth has been accepted into Carlisle College to study Performing Arts! Her dedication to both dance and singing has always shone through, and she’s constantly striving to improve and grow in every class. Whether she’s rehearsing a routine or working on her vocal technique, Elizabeth brings focus, passion, and a positive attitude to everything she does.
We’re absolutely thrilled that she’ll be continuing her journey with us at MGDA while stepping into this exciting next chapter of her training. Well done, Elizabeth, your hard work is paying off and we can’t wait to see all that you achieve!
What an unforgettable experience performing at the stunning Palace Theatre in Manchester! We were so proud to take to the stage with two incredible pieces, our Senior Performance Team delivered a beautifully emotional performance of Lovely, while our full group wowed the audience with the energy and drama of Wicked.
It was such a special opportunity for our dancers to perform in a professional theatre, and they absolutely rose to the occasion. A huge thank you goes out to the event organisers, our brilliant dancers, the ever-supportive parents, and especially our wonderful chaperones, Victoria, Fiona, and Debbie, for keeping everything running smoothly on the day. We couldn’t have done it without you!

What a night to remember! On Saturday 15th March, we celebrated 10 incredible years of MG Dance Academy with a spectacular Anniversary Ball at the beautiful Lodore Falls Hotel - and it was everything we could have dreamed of and more.
The evening was filled with fun, laughter, and memories. Guests were treated to a special projection of old dances and rehearsal footage, taking a nostalgic trip down memory lane and celebrating how far we’ve come. There were activities for everyone - from bracelet making and temporary tattoos to a lively photo area where smiles were in full swing. We also tested our MGDA knowledge with a fun quiz (and discovered just how well some people were paying attention over the years!).
A delicious meal was followed by an epic night on the dance floor, thanks to the brilliant DJ Jamie, who kept the energy high and the tunes flowing - there wasn’t a single moment when the dance floor was empty!
A huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the night so special - from everyone who helped to every dancer, parent, and friend who joined us to celebrate. Here’s to the last 10 years of joy, growth, and sparkle… and to the many more to come!
We are incredibly proud of Jonathan, a long-standing MGDA student whose talent, determination, and passion for performing have always stood out. From his very first class, Jonathan showed a natural flair and he’s never stopped working to push himself further.
Over the years, he’s trained in a wide range of styles with us, throwing himself into every opportunity with enthusiasm and drive. Whether it was a show, exam, or workshop, Jonathan always gave his all, growing into a confident, versatile, and expressive performer.
Now, he’s about to begin an exciting new chapter, having secured a place at the prestigious Performers College in Essex - one of the UK’s leading training grounds for future stars of the stage and screen.
We’re bursting with pride and so excited to see where this next step takes him. And just like Skye and Annie, he’s still very much part of the MGDA family and always will be. Jonathan, your journey is only just beginning, and we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way!
We are bursting with pride for our wonderful Annie, who will be heading off to Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London this September! After successfully auditioning for several top colleges, Annie chose Trinity Laban - a world-renowned centre for contemporary dance training - and we know she’s going to thrive there.
Annie’s journey with MGDA has been such a joy to watch. From the shy young girl who first stepped into class to the confident, expressive dancer (and fantastic young teacher!) she is today, Annie has grown in every possible way. She’s always been hardworking, focused, and full of determination - she knew exactly what she wanted, and she went out and achieved it.
Annie is a brilliant role model for our younger dancers, always kind, encouraging, and ready to lend a hand. We’ll miss her so much in class, but we’re beyond excited to see her take this next big step. Keep reaching for the stars, Annie - your MGDA family will always be cheering you on!
We are so proud of Skye, one of our original MGDA dancers, whose journey is nothing short of inspiring. Skye joined us when she was still in primary school, and from the very beginning, her passion, determination, and love for dance shone through. She trained in a wide range of styles with us - from acro to ballet to jazz - and her dedication never wavered.
At just 14 years old, Skye earned a coveted place at The Hammond School, where she spent two years training intensively and developing her artistry. Now, she’s taking the next big step in her career, having been accepted onto the Jazz course at London Studio Centre, one of the UK’s top performing arts colleges.
We couldn't be prouder to see her chasing her dreams - and even more proud that she’s still part of the MGDA family! Skye regularly returns to teach workshops, take class, and inspire our younger dancers with her energy, talent and kindness. She’s proof that with hard work and heart, anything is possible. Keep shining, Skye - you’ll always be a star to us!
