Our junior class with guest teacher Miss Philippa for a ballet masterclass
Our main ballet classes take place every Monday, welcoming dancers from junior age and up. These classes focus on strong technique and graceful artistry, following the Association of American Dancing (AAD) syllabus. Dancers work towards graded exams, medal test dances and group performances, developing their strength, flexibility, and musicality in a supportive and focused environment. For those invited, we also offer a separate pointe class, where students take their training to the next level with specialised guidance to ensure safe and confident progression. Ballet is the foundation of so many styles, and we love watching our dancers grow each week!
Our acro classes run every Tuesday and are open to dancers aged 5 and up, with three different classes to suit a range of ages and abilities. We follow the Acrobatic Arts class framework, focusing on strength, flexibility, balance, and safe technique while building exciting tricks and skills. Alongside this, dancers also work towards exams and medal test dances through the Association of American Dancing (AAD). Acro is a brilliant blend of dance and gymnastics, and our students love showcasing their progress in group performances throughout the year. It’s high-energy, challenging, and so much flippin' fun!

Our Friday dance classes are full of energy, variety, and creativity! Open to children aged 3 and up, we run four separate classes tailored to different age groups and abilities. Each session offers a mix of dance styles, with a focus on modern, tap, ballet, and lyrical, giving our dancers a well-rounded foundation and the chance to explore their own style. We follow the Association of American Dancing (AAD) syllabus, working towards graded exams and medal test dances in tap, modern, and ballet. Alongside technical training, we also prepare exciting group performances for each class - and every so often, we bring everyone together to create one big combined routine that really brings the magic to life!
Our musical theatre classes run every Friday for children aged 6 and up, alongside our dance classes - with Miss Joanne leading in one room while Miss Mel teaches in the other. These fun, high-energy sessions combine singing, acting, and movement, helping students build confidence and stage presence. We focus on strong vocal technique, harmonies, expressive character work, and dynamic performance skills. Each class works towards exciting group performances, giving every student the chance to shine. Whether your child dreams of the West End or just loves to perform, this is the perfect place to grow and have fun!

Our Mini Movers class is the perfect midweek treat for little ones who love to move! Held on Wednesday mornings, it's designed for children from walking up to age 3, along with their favourite grown-up. Each session is a joyful mix of dance, movement, singing, and playful props, encouraging early coordination, musicality, and confidence in a fun, friendly setting. It’s a lovely way to bond, explore movement together, and introduce your child to the magic of dance in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
We offer private lessons mainly on Wednesdays, with our Principal, Miss Mel. These one-to-one sessions are tailored to each dancer’s goals, whether that’s preparing a solo dance, refining technique and performance, or working on exam material. Private lessons are a fantastic way to build confidence, focus on specific skills, and take your training to the next level. We also have a few additional time slots available on other days and with other teachers. If you're interested in booking a private lesson, just get in touch, we’d love to find a time that works for you!

Our competition rehearsals are where the hard work and magic come together! Held mainly on Thursdays for all ages, these sessions focus on preparing our dancers for exciting events like our troupe competition in Blackpool, with high-energy group routines that showcase teamwork, technique, and stage presence. We’ve also had the incredible opportunity to perform at venues like the Palace Theatre in Manchester, giving our dancers unforgettable performance experiences. In addition, our Senior Performance Team trains during a dedicated rehearsal on Fridays, working on more advanced choreography and performance pieces. These rehearsals are fast-paced, focused, and full of passion, perfect for dancers who love being on stage and rising to a challenge!
Our August Intensive is a highlight of the MGDA calendar; an unforgettable week of dance held every year near the end of August. It’s the perfect way to kick-start the new dance season with energy, inspiration, and top-tier training. We welcome an incredible line-up of guest teachers from the professional industry, offering our dancers the chance to learn from some of the very best. Past guest artists include Jody Rafferty, who trained at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona and is now performing with Carnival Cruises, and Shannon McCaslin, a LIPA graduate currently performing with Princess Cruises. We’re also proud to welcome back our wonderful Aaron Ashley Parker, who trained at Laine Theatre Arts and whose impressive credits include performances in Mama Mia, West Side Story, Grease, We Will Rock You, and even featured in Mamma Mia! 2 and Coronation Street, just to name a few! Aaron is now Deputy Director of Vocational Training (Dance) at The Hammond, Creative Director of Rhythm Nation Associates and Events, and a sought-after choreographer for professional performances.
Whether you're looking to push your technique, explore new styles, or just be inspired, the August Intensive is not to be missed!
